Gratefulness-Challenge Day 14 of 21 by KnowledgeCollective
A Three Cat Lap - I feel so popular when all the kids clamber onto my lap at once. Those are my feet at the end of legs totally covered with three cats. In the cat world this is known as Triple Feline Paralysis. I can’t move anywhere, there are cats on me.
Making Hubby Laugh - This is his Advent Calendar:
And yes, Die Hard is a Christmas Movie.
Baking - There’s a Banana Bread Recipe I’ve been making for years, but lately I’m experimenting. Tonight, I’m making it with banana, crushed pineapple and coconut using self-rising flour.
Death Talk - Meeting new people is always so rewarding when the topic is Death, and we get to explore the subject no one seems to want to talk about. Giving a presentation on advance planning today I spent an hour talking, and yes, even laughing, with three very interesting folks.
Remembrance - Today would have been my dear lady Harriet’s 105th birthday. This time four years ago I was sitting vigil with her, and she passed two days later. A long and oh so interesting life. It was my honor to be part of her story.
While I’m enjoying the gratitude thread, I hope you’ll join me as I begin a series on what it means to me to be a Death Doula as well as a walk through some advance planning. It will also be my pleasure to share my perspective on some stories of people whose lives , and deaths, led me to the path I am on today.
