Day Two Gratitude
Gratefulness-Challenge Day 2 of 21 by KnowledgeCollective.
Five things I am grateful for this Monday:
Blue Jays. We put peanuts in the shell out on the deck for the birds and squirrels in the mornings, because the cats enjoy the show. So do we. These noisy and funny birds are so unashamedly Blue, loud and strong. They make me smile.
Autumn sun. I’m allergic to sunburn, really, hives and everything. So summer sun and I don’t get along. My favorite season is Autumn, and the quality of the more diffuse sunshine is a morning happy place for me.
Shiny silver spoons. I have my Mom’s spoon collection, 18 old fashioned silver spoons on an “Early American” wooden display rack. They have been part of my life all of my life and I just shined them up this weekend and they smile at me. I smile back.
Coffee. Sweet and creamy and hot. Bliss.
The photo of my Mom and her sister Nancy that I just put on my mantle shelf. They were so close, and I know Mom still misses her so deeply.
